So someone poked the nest of Nailsea churches' collective conscience and fifty white T-shirt clad litter pickers dispersed to the four corners of the town on Saturday producing 30 or so bags of rubbish.
Litter hunting is a fine upstanding thing to do although on my list of things I had expected to find I would not have included a small plastic rubber duck, a remote controller for a model car and a dead squirrel.
What is the proper name for those grab devices you use to save bending? If I'd had one my back would have been working yesterday.

Hurrah for you and your kind people.
Aren't they called 'pick up sticks' or is that a game? My great grandma had one for use round the house. Sounds like a good idea for everyone, really.
