Had to get up at 3.40 a.m. to get a taxi across Gozo, a ferry to Malta, a taxi across Malta, a plane (which flew directly over the Gozitan house we'd left four hours previously at 8.15 a.m.) across Europe and by 11.15 a.m. we were putting the dirty washing in our own washing machine. The plane had flown over our Leamington house almost an hour and a half earlier. A request stop and a parachute would have shortened the journey considerably.
Now it is 1.30 p.m. (2.30 p.m. Gozo time) and I have been up for nearly eleven hours. Food shopping and then a snooze.
