Psalm 150 for Today

In the light of saying Morning Prayer whilst a major building project is going on next door:

Praise the Lord.

Praise God in this sanctuary;
and in the uncompleted extension next door.

Praise him for the power of the angle grinder;
praise him for the builder's whistled tune.

 

Praise him with the sound of carpentry,
praise him with the hammer and nail,

praise him with saw and groove-maker,
praise him with the planes and screw-drivers,

praise him with the clash of girders,
praise him with resounding levelling.

Let everything that has breathed in sawdust praise the Lord.

Praise the Lord.
