Why are journalists so rubbish with statistics? Last week many newspapers published a piece stating how unpopular the civil partnership ceremony had become. Numbers had fallen massively between year 1 and year 2. Durr.
Year 1 included all those couples who had waited up to fifty years to tie the knot. Year two's stats are simply those who have made such a commitment in the last twelve months. Get a grip.
