Having worked as a professional writer in the past (although you wouldn't think it from all the typos recently) I have a vague interest in etymology. I didn't notice at the time but my dreaded skin disease (not contagious, thanks for asking) breaks down into three words:
Pity (which means sad)
Riasis (which means rash)
Rosea (which means red)
I went to the doctors with a sad, red rash and got it diagnosed with great precision as a er, sad, red rash.
