Course, the younger generation might not understand as they have a new word and some older ones might remember screwing more in the context of:

News reporter (to hooligan): 'So, tell me, why did you hit him?'

Hooligan: 'Cos 'e were screwin' me bird.'

News reporter: 'Screwing her?'

Hooligan: 'Yeah, you know, lookin' at her. Up and down, like.'

This reminds me of the time that I was telling off a child who had hit someone else. His reply was that he was playing with his balls and someone took one of them so he hit them.

You try keeping a straight face after that!
