Sport

Don't normally watch the Grand National but TV stayed on after TWIL had finished watching the Royal Wedding whilst doing her nails on the sofa and I sat back and found myself watching it. Quite fun.

Things we can learn from watching horse racing. Notice the genuine warmth and pleasure everyone else got out of congratulating the winner. It seemed to far outweigh their own disappointment at losing. There's some truth in that.

Other sports that teach us things:

The way rugby (union and league) games are run by the referees. The referees warn players they are about to commit an infringement.

Snooker almost doesn't need a referee. The players are so honest about self-policing and owning up to fouls.
