Reading Revelation 21 yesterday, at the end of a short advent series on end times, someone asked a great question. Given the focus on judgement, burning fires of sulphur and all the other nasties John foresaw in his vision, in heaven, '...will some people be singed?'
In other words, how black and white is the Christian hope?
Well St Jude, sometimes called the patron saint of lost causes, encouraged snatching people, from the fire. Thing is, he meant now.
Who knows how real the metaphorical pictures of the end times are in Revelation. I wouldn't risk them. If you are not interested in Jesus, changing that would be a good plan for the next few days. He wins.
