Sometimes the narrative demands that a story be true. The Guardian reports that Anton Ferdinand spent a day in silence to raise money for Children in Need. Asked to comment on how difficult that was he reportedly said, 'It was very difficult. If I hadn't had my girlfriend to talk to I think I would have gone mad.'
