Drinking

Prior to our conference a small box was left on my doorstep. It was labelled:

'SWANWICK EMERGENCY SURVIVAL KIT

Easy Action Opening for quick action relief

Not to be used during seminars'

It turned out to be a 25cl bottle of J.P. Chenet chardonnay. Good gag. Thanks.

As it happens the best bits of clergy conferences are normally those times in the bar at the end of the day, sharing, encouraging, listening, story-telling and just chilling. We were also all given a bottle of Bath Ales 1100 beer, a special brewing for the Diocesan whatever you call a millennium plus a centenary, anniversary, so I came back with more alcohol than I took and I didn't need the chardonnay.
