Organic Food and Plain Speaking

Long suffering readers will know that I have an enthusiasm for low carbon footprints and try to eat locally-sourced, organic vegetables. So Riverford meet my needs. Fine fresh fruit, meat and veg delivered to your door at a fair price. You will note particularly that the vegetables taste of vegetables and the end of last week's box contents is becoming a simple minestrone as I type.

I also like people who either tell it like it is, or tell it in an interesting way. So this quote from the Riverford weekly newsletter buttered my muffin on both sides, 'We are being squeezed out of our well-earned place in the minds of less established and more uncertain customers by a tidal wave of bullshit.'

You gotta love a news letter that insults its departing customers and stubbornly hangs in there. I'm still in.

I must read their newsletter more closely in future. Had some supermarket carrots the other day - ugh! Back to Riverfords best....

'squeezed out ... by a tidal wave...'

Mixed metaphor to go with the mixed veg?
