Thanks Pete

Pete Ward and I go way back and I was looking forward to spending a day in his company. But he had made an error (so I am told) in his diary and thought the visit to Bath And Wells to teach/train a bunch of us was tomorrow. Was tomorrow? Can you say that?

So I had a nice drive over the Mendips with the Saab's top down on a beautiful sunny day with Zero 7 on full volume, a lovely coffee and catch up with David my Fresh Expressions oppo at the other end of the diocese, a nice drive back, then lunch, a couple of pints and a chat at the Old Farmhouse, a snooze, two hours to get to know my new CD mixer in time for Cafe Create next week and a light supper before PCC standing committee. Totally chilled.

Free days. Brilliant.

Yesterday was tomorrow two days ago. So you can say it.

I still have two tapes of Pete Ward music somewhere in a cupboard. In fact I think I transferred them to mp3. Must be blackmail possibilities there!

I have a 7 inch vinyl single. It's quite good.

I still like his stuff, too. He once appeared on TV in an series that showcased Christian music. I think it was produced by Mickey Dolenz. Didn't last long.
