Alarm Calls

Our corner of Nailsea is so peaceful I run quiet days at home on week days. It's pretty silent here too but this morning before 9.00 a.m. we had a crazy dog barking in the street, a helicopter hovering over the village, a low flying passenger jet, a noisy refuse cart (they collect the rubbish in the cool of the day here), a pneumatic drill in the road and something that sounded like a drive-by Muslim worship-leader.

All quiet again by breakfast and the hole in the road was filled in again. I could live here. I could.
