One of the things I was saddest about leaving in Leamington Spa was my garden bird-box. Twice in fourteen years it was used by wrens and six or seven chicks came out each time. Wrens don't repeat-use the same nest-site more than about once every six years. I hope the purchasers of 82 Leicester Street like birds.
But this week the blue tits which have been taking an interest in the bird box here in our new garden are flying rapidly backwards and forwards clearly feeding the box's new occupants. Fantastic.
