Belt Loops

If your trousers have belt loops and they're visible, put a belt through them. You will look better and stop annoying me too. A double whammy of altruism.

Too right.. Little things make a big difference.

But belts are such a faff, and they dig in when you sit down. If you don't need a belt to keep your trousers up why wear one at all?

Because you bought trousers with belt loops, silly.

Are there any trousers without belt loops?

Martin, you'll be wanting Marks and Spencer's elasticated waist stay-pressed action slacks as modelled by Alan Partridge.

LOL (To keep you happy I should clarify that this is an accronym, not text language. See, I even capitalised the letters, so it is in the correct form. In case you do not commonly use this accronym, it stands for Laughing Out Loud)

Alan Partridge is of course a fine fashion guru. What I wouldn't give for his dress sense. ;-)

Can't it stand for Lots of Love? My god-daughter says 'lol' rather than bothering to laugh. She is 14 though

A cartoon that references using LOL in speech. Apparently it isn't cool - at least not in the world of the übergeek.
