So sad to hear that the wittiest person on radio has died so young. Was fortunate enough to attend a recording of the News Quiz at Cheltenham's Everyman Theatre a few years back. Each panellist was asked to say something for a sound check and most began with, 'Good evening, my name is...'

Linda Smith said, 'A big up to the Cheltenham Massive...' First laugh of the evening because it was so deliciously inappropriate for the Chelters Radio 4 audience present.
