Appraisals

I am going to be appraised. This in my part-time St Paul's Associate Minister job. Apparently I'm not to let it worry me. I've been told this three times now. Since it never occurred to me to let it worry me up until that point I am slowly coming round to the view that a little worry might perhaps be appropriate.

I have had an appraisal:

1973 - 1981 at Eagle Star Insurance
1982-1984 at St John's College
1985-1988 at St Jude's, Mapperley
1989 - 1992 at St Mary and St Cuthbert, Chester-le-Street
1993-2002 at CPAS

so not having had one for a couple of years has been weird. I love talking about me.

As part of the appraisal I have to write a job description. How about:

Being amusing and entertaining
Keeping rest of staff team in touch with reality
Finding a way to get paid by both my jobs for one piece of work
Doing such other duties as get thrown at me as long as they are interersting or can be delegated
Looking busy
Seeking after truth about life and then keeping quiet in case it upsets people
Filing
Avoiding artificial fibres
Writing stories and songs about this
Not having a pension
Being happy
Having enough shoes and skin products but not being gay

It's getting out of hand. Shall close the door.
