Teeth

Did I hear right? Did I hear the opposition health spokesman just now say that dentists should be reimbursed not for treatments but for results?

How much thought does it take to see the flaw in that? About half a second I reckon, which is about half a second more thought than the spokesman seems to have given it.

Results payment schemes for health care will inevitably lead to the selection of those patients likely to generate the most income.

I do not want my dentist to be weighing up the possibility of success before treating me. Please try to save my tooth before extracting it.
