For six or seven years now, since the boys didn't want to holiday with us, we have taken our holidays outside the school holidays. But this is the first year for eighteen I haven't done a venture during the summer holidays so I have an uninterrupted August's work in a time when the church is relatively quiet. Other members of the staff team are away and lots of maintenance work is going on at church so it looks like I will be leading worship on a building site for the next couple of weeks. It seems like a long time since we were on our holiday although it was only a couple of months ago. We intend to spend a week up in Northumberland in September.
